The theme of community within environment began in 1970 and continues into the present. The community itself consists typically of one continuously curving “line” drawing in which I accent emerging heads and bodies.  Again, this means people interacting – or as I now call it, communities within environments.  In this case, the environments are simply the backgrounds.  And these were greatly enhanced once I introduced computer effects.  Here I go micro, using the tools of select, to highlight a rectangular area, and smudge, to blend, blur, and shape the colors within the rectangle.  The effects are the usual negative and water color, with a little stained glass and texturizer thrown in.
